Play Therapists

Talking about problems can be hard for children. A child may not have the words to describe how they are feeling, or why they are behaving as they do. A child may not be able to recognise what they find difficult, or explain it to someone if asked. Play Therapy provides the expertise and time to do this through play.

Counsellors

Counselling helps people of all ages understand their feelings and cope with life’s challenges. For children, it provides a safe space to express emotions, explore worries, and develop coping skills, often using play, art, stories, or talking therapy. For adults, counselling offers support to navigate stress, personal challenges, and emotional difficulties, helping build insight and practical strategies to manage everyday life. In every session, the aim is to help individuals understand themselves, manage emotions, and build resilience.

I am a counsellor, supervisor and trainer currently based in Norfolk. Originally from the US, I have lived, worked, volunteered and studied in different parts of the world including Kenya, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France and the UK. As a therapist, I specialise in supporting parents through any type of perinatal trauma or loss. I also deliver training for professionals on the impact of pregnancy loss, birth trauma and topics related to the wellbeing of parent carers (SEND parents/carers). Dance and Movement Therapy

Dance and movement therapy is a form of arts therapy that uses the body and movement in a clinical setting to support emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing. As a somatic therapy, it focuses on the connection between the body and mind, helping individuals explore experiences, express emotions, and develop insight through physical movement in a safe and supportive environment.

Charlotte Darbyshire

Registered Somatic Movement Therapist

I offer individual Somatic Movement Therapy sessions for disabled and non-disabled adults in Norwich.

My sessions are informed by my training in Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy and weave together experiential anatomy, developmental movement and hands-on work.

Our lived experience is stored in and shaped by our body.  By learning to listen to the body with curiosity and kindness, we can deepen our connection to ourselves, recognise old patterns and tensions and discover our potential for freedom and well-being.

To book a session or make an enquiry, please email Charlotte on: charliedarbs@gmail.com

or ring 0780 372 9823.

Integrative Therapists

Integrative therapy is a psychological approach that combines different therapeutic techniques to create a personalized treatment plan for each client. Integrative therapy considers the whole person, including their biological, psychological, and social factors. Therapists use their knowledge of evidence-based treatments to adapt their approach to the client's needs and characteristics.

Rosie Anne

Trauma-Informed Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist

I've been honoured to work alongside many parents finding their way to fresh perspective, deeper connection with their children and a greater understanding of how to move through and beyond their own triggers and challenges. I use my training in transpersonal integrative psychotherapy and a unique body-based trauma-informed psychotherapy called NARM along with my lived experience as a parent to co-create the right blend of relational support.

I have a particular interest in supporting parents arriving into the neurodivergent community, and have delivered two talks for the global online PDA Summit.
